The joints are either double doweled and blocked on every corner or mortise and tenon joinery construction. The padding material is a combination of recycled fiber, soy-based FR free foam and synthetic batting. Fiber in back cushions is 100% recycled. Cushioning is made from premium quality soy based foam that replaces 30% of petroleum based ingredients, wrapped in 80% regenerated fibers, and covered wtih 50% cotton/50% poly FR free down proof ticking. Springs are 8 way hand tied and made with 80% recycled metal components. Steel strapping is used for spring support. Sustainable furniture definitely makes an impact on our environment.
